PADI Dry Suit Diver Course

Want to stay warm and toasty on a dive? Then dive dry. Yes! Unlike a wetsuit, a dry suit seals you off from the outside water and that keeps you warm! Even in surprisingly cold water.

The fun part:
You will complete 1 Confined-Water, and 2 Open-Water dives. Dry suits let you dive more challenging dive sites, and extend your dive season. When you have the right cold water scuba diving attire, you can stand up to the elements and take advantage of the generally better visibility offered by winter months—especially at inland dive sites such as quarries, lakes, sinkholes and caves etc. As a dry suit diver, you’re equipped to scuba dive some of the world’s incredible dive sites in the world’s cooler regions that are best enjoyed in a dry suit even in their warmer months.

What You Learn:

• Learn how to safely don, dive with, doff and store a dry-suit.
• Get introduced to the different types of suits so you can make a very informed decision if considering purchasing a dry suit
• Dry suit buoyancy control skills
• Dry suit maintenance, storage and basic repair
• Undergarment (fleece or overall-type garments worn under the dry suit) options

Prerequisites:

• Minimum age 10
• Training Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver
• If you haven’t worn a dry suit in open water before we will also have to carry out a pool based dry suit orientation

Enrolment in the course entitles you to the following-

• Training for the PADI Dry Suit Diver Certification.
• Certification upon completion of all course requirements.
• All required training materials- PADI Dry Suit Dive manual and loan of the Dry Suit Diver DVD.

What’s not included?

The following is not included in the course price-

• Students traveling costs to and from all training sessions and open water dives.
• Admission to inland diving sites. Site fee’s payable directly upon entry.
• Personal expenses such as food & drink etc or overnight accommodation
• Diving equipment hire charges. If you do not own diving equipment and suit we can hire you the necessary equipment at a preferred course rate.

How much?
The full Dry Suit Diver course costs £120.
We also offer a Group Leader system whereby if you wish to organize friends and family to take a course with you we will discount your course 20% for every diver you bring. So if you bring 1 extra diver your course price is £96, 2 extra divers = £72 and 5 extra divers means you get the course for free!! You can split this discount across the other divers or you can keep it for yourself, it’s your choice.
