Get your PADI scuba certification. If you’ve always wanted to learn how to scuba dive, discover new adventures or simply see the wondrous world beneath the waves, this is where it starts.

The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular scuba course, and has introduced millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle.

What You Learn:
The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:
• Knowledge Development (online, home study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving.
• Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills.
• Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore!

If you’ve tried diving through a Discover Scuba Diving experience or resort course, the skills you learned may be credited towards a portion of the full PADI Open Water Diver course certification

Prerequisites:
To enrol you must be 15 years of age.

The Scuba Gear You Use:
In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear including a dive computer, and standard accessories.

The Learning Materials You Need-
PADI offers a variety of home-study materials for the Open Water Diver course.
PADI’s Open Water Diver materials cover what you need to know about basic scuba diving skills, terminology and safety procedures. For each concept you’ll read a description and watch a video demonstration. Then you’ll jump in our pool to practise these skills with your instructor. Later, as a certified diver, use the course materials as a reference guide for future diving adventures and to review what you learned.

Enrolment in the course entitles you to the following-
• Training for the PADI ‘open water diver’ certification.
• Certification upon completion of all course requirements.
• Use of all diving equipment required to carry out your training, (No hidden hire charges), although for reasons of comfort and hygiene we do recommend that divers have their own mask and snorkel, gloves and boots.
• All required training materials- PADI ‘Open Water Diver’ ultimate crew-pack consisting of training manual, computer use manual, DVD and a diving log-book.
• 5 classroom sessions, 5 pool sessions and 4 open water qualification dives. All of our pool sessions are run with a maximum of 6 divers per course so that you get a better experience and training. Also please note also that we use a maximum ratio of 2 trainee’s to 1 staff during open water dives and 3 to 1 during confined water dives for your comfort and safety.
• 2 free Discover Scuba Diving sessions for friends and family during the Confined water section of your course.
